I
was born and raised in Golden, a small community located north of the
Luxor Creek Outfitting territory in south- eastern British Columbia, Canada. We lived on a small cattle ranch for the early part of my youth, where I spent much of my time exploring in the woods after school. These early experiences led to my future enjoyment of fly fishing, hunting, hiking, mountain biking, skiing and mountaineering, while growing up in Golden. I attended the university after working a few years at a local sawmill. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology from the university of Northern British Columbia in 2001. |

I have since been
working as a consulting wildlife biologist for industry, government
and environmental consulting firms. Work interests include
habitat restoration, enhance- ment, and inventory for ungulates and species at risk. I have also been involved with many specific wildlife ecology projects, including studies of badgers, wolverines, northern goshawks, and fishers.
Guiding has allowed me to share my wildlife and outdoor experiences
with clients, while the enjoyment of their company has given me a
greater appreciation for the varied personalities of hunters from
abroad. My goal is to provide you with a safe, ethical, and
challenging hunting experience, in the spectacular wilderness set- -Rich Klafki |
